Steelers Nation Goes International In London

LONDON (KDKA) -- London, dressed in its finest Steelers' gold, welcomed Steelers Nation, who are some of the best travelers in the NFL.

Outside Buckingham Palace, we truly got a sense of how international the Steelers Nation really is.

Andy Thomas is from London.

"If you look around, we have a huge fan base already, and the game is just growing year after year," said Thomas.

Tom Arismen is from Canada.

"I have cheered for them all my life, back to the Cowboys battles with Staubach and those guys," said Arismen, of Calgary. "Yeah, been a Steelers fan all my life."

There's a group of fans from Austria, and Niko Koesling is from Germany. He says he was drawn in by his friends.

"I was infected by them, so since the last three or four years, I have watched nearly every game on ESPN America in Germany," said Koesling.

At Westminster, in the shadow of Big Ben, John and Beth Kravetz – of Altoona – are celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary.

"We decided in January we wanted to take a trip for our 15th year, and then the Steelers' schedule came out, and we put the two together," said Beth.

They shut down busy Regent Street on Saturday for NFL, and the Terrible Towel was flying proudly.

"This is breathtaking," said Mike Tomlin, the Steelers head coach. "We are honored, and obviously, fired up by the fan support for this football game."

"We are ready to get the ball rolling tomorrow, and hopefully, get our first win," added Steelers' tight end Heath Miller.

The hard work of the pep rally and getting ready for the game is done. Now, it's time to rest up to be in good form for Sunday's game at Wembley Stadium, and hopefully, a Steelers win.
