Steelers LB Takes To Twitter In Joke Over Cincinnati Gorilla

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – It may be the NFL offseason, but the rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals doesn't stop.

Some are saying that Steelers linebacker Vince Williams took it a step too far on social media.

CBS Sports reports Williams took to Twitter Wednesday with some not so choice words about a hot button issue, the killing of a gorilla at the Cincinnati Zoo.

Williams tweeted "The Gorilla was from Cincinnati. I didn't drop one tear. He in a better place now."

As you can imagine that tweet has now been deleted.

The linebacker immediately faced major backlash.

He responded in another tweet saying, "Y'all gotta lighten up."

As CBS Sports reports, there is no love lost between Williams and the Bengals.
