Steelers LB Larry Foote Hopes To Be Back In 2014
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan)- Steelers LB Larry Foote joined the Cook and Poni Show on Tuesday to talk about his future and the NFL playoffs.
The guys waste no time getting to the most pressing question. Are you coming back?
"They talked to my agent and they want me back," Foote said. "They just need to make sure everything adds up."
He says he hopes to be back and is excited to see if that happens that his coaching staff will be kept. He also expects the Steelers will keep LB LaMarr Woodley.
"I want a healthy LaMarr Woodley back," Foote said. "Because when he is healthy and playing, there is nobody better."
Foote admits that he has enjoyed watching the NFL playoffs thus far, but he still feels the pain of not being in it.
"You see Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Tom Brady, and I know how No. 7 plays so different in the playoffs," Foote said. "I would like Ben over any of those guys in the playoffs."
He said the way the Steelers were playing down the stretch he thought they would win in Cincinnati, but may have ran into problems in Denver.
He can see Peyton Manning be this year's Ray Lewis and having the storybook ending and winning the Super Bowl and going out on top but he also thinks both defenses I the NFC p[resent a huge challenge.
