Steelers Have Some Tough Decisions Ahead

PITTSBURGH (Sportsradio 93.7 The FAN) - The Post-Gazette's Ed Bouchette joins Seibel, Starkey, and Miller on Sportsradio 93.7 The FAN to talk about some tough decisions to come barring the conclusion of the lockout.

Ed Bouchette says he was surprised when he heard the rumored salary cap to be around $120 million, considering there was no cap last year, and it was $122 million a few seasons back.

When asked about what players would consider a pay cut to help the Steelers stay under the cap, including Hines Ward, Aaron Smith, Casey Hampton, and Troy Polamalu, Bouchette simply says, the Steelers have some tough, tough decisions ahead of them.

The conversation ends with Bouchette briefly touching on the potential punishments to come to the Steelers players involved in recent situations, including James Harrison, Hines Ward, and Rashard Mendenhall.  He says Ward may be the only one to receive a fine, saying Mendenhall and Harrison will more than likely slide free for the Twitter comments and Men's Journal article.
