Steelers Come To Terms With 2 Draft Picks
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - The Pittsburgh Steelers have announced the signing of their fourth-round selection and their second of two sixth-round selections.
Cornerback Doran Grant (fourth round) was the 121st pick of this year's draft. The 5-foot-10-inch, 200-pounder out of Ohio State agreed to a four-year deal with the team. Grant recorded 146 tackles, nine interceptions, 20 pass breakups, one sack and four tackles for a loss during his collegiate career and was named a member of the first-team All-Big Ten last year.
Also coming to terms was linebacker Anthony Chickillo out of Miami. He was the 212th overall selection of the draft and the second pick of the sixth round for the Steelers.
The 6-foot-3-inch Chickillo started 45-of-50 games during his college career recording 170 tackles, 15 tackles for a loss, 15.5 sacks, two forced fumbles, five fumble recoveries and five pass breakups.
The signing of Grant and Chickillo brings the Steelers' total of drafted players signed to three after previously coming to an agreement with their other sixth-round selection, defensive end L.T. Walton.
