Steelers Come To Agreement With 2 Draft Picks
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - Less than two weeks after the NFL Draft, the Pittsburgh Steelers have come to terms on contracts with their sixth and seventh-round draft picks.
Sixth-round pick, defensive lineman Daniel McCullers and seventh-round pick, tight end Rob Blanchflower have signed four-year deals with the team. No financial terms were disclosed.
You may remember McCullers as he was quite possibly the biggest player available in the draft, measuring in at 6-feet-7-inches tall and weighing 352 pounds.
In two seasons at Tennessee, he started 19 of 22 games, recorded 72 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss and two blocked kicks.
Blanchflower comes into the NFL after breaking the University of Massachusetts record for receiving yards by a tight end by catching 109 passes for 1,164 yards and nine touchdown.
These are the first two of the Steelers 2014 drafts picks to sign.
