Steelers' Arthur Moats Helps To Deliver New Furniture To Needy Family
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Steelers' linebacker Arthur Moats has disguised himself as a mover for Bob's Discount Furniture.
The friendly football star has teamed up with the Salvation Army and Bob's to deliver a houseful of free furniture to a needy family in Avalon.
"Our job today," Moats explains, "is to make sure we deliver quality furniture and put it in the right place, so that we can bless this family and they can have an amazing experience. And after that, it's a special surprise for them."
The Steelers aren't worried about him pulling a muscle while lifting a sofa. He's the "supervisor."
And he's convincing enough to fool Jessica Littlejohn and her four children. They have no idea that the muscular mover is actually a Pittsburgh Steeler.
The single mother of four thinks the cameras are there to shoot a commercial for the furniture company, until Arthur Moats reveals his Steelers jersey.
Jessica admits she was, "Surprised. And I felt bad because I didn't recognize him. But I don't watch football. Shhh! Don't tell nobody!"
But after today, she admits, she and her children will be fans for life.
