Steel Plant Worker Injured After Explosion
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A worker at a the Edgar Thomson Plant in Braddock was flown to the hospital overnight.
Our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette say that around 1:30 police were notified of an explosion at the steel plant, located in the 1300-block of Braddock Avenue.
Firefighters responded to the scene, but a supervisor told the Post-Gazette that there was no indication of a fire.
The worker was flown to UPMC Mercy.
Their condition is unknown.
