Bank Robbery Sparks Chase, Ends In Crash On Parkway
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Several state police vehicles were involved in an accident on I-376 eastbound on Thursday.
It happened around 3 p.m. in the area of Rosslyn Farms and Carnegie.
Traffic was restricted and other drivers used the shoulder to get around.
Authorities said the incident involved a brief chase from Robinson Township.
The pickup truck involved in the chase matches the description of a vehicle involved in a Huntington Bank robbery in Beaver County around 2 p.m.
A woman near the scene of the crime reportedly told officers she saw the pickup truck fleeing south on Route 51.
A total of four cruisers were truck total and one trooper was injured.
46-year-old Josh Kehren from Bethel Park was arrested with a knife.
"When the suspect was stopped, he exited the vehicle, brandished a knife and made an aggressive move toward one of the troopers. He was told to drop the knife and he proceeded to do so," said one official.
