State Police Seek Suspect In Fayette Co. ATV Thefts

UNIONTOWN (KDKA) -- State Police in Fayette County are asking for help from the public as they work to track down a suspect in several recent ATV thefts.

According to police, a utility vehicle was stolen from the Georges Township area, and then used a few days later to steal another quad.

The stolen vehicles have been recovered; however, police say they have not caught up with the suspect accused in the incidents.

He is also wanted for questioning in several other cases, investigators say.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid- to late-20s, about five-foot-11 and weighs 250 pounds. He has a red hair, a beard and facial acne.

Police say he also has a tongue piercing with a purple stud.

Authorities believe he is either from the southern part of Fayette County or possibly the northern part of West Virginia.

State Police in Uniontown and the Auto Theft Task Force continue to investigate.

Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to contact the Fayette County Crime Stoppers. Information leading to an arrest could result in a reward of up to $1,000.
