State Police Arrest Baldwin Woman's Ex-Boyfriend On Other Charges

WASHINGTON, Pa. (KDKA) -- Investigators say they have arrested the ex-boyfriend of a missing Baldwin woman who was found dead in a wooded area in Washington County Thursday afternoon.

According to state police, 22-year-old Jordan Clemons was taken into custody Thursday on outstanding burglary and probation violation warrants.

Authorities say Clemons turned himself in around 11:30 p.m. after police began actively searching the Washington County area for him, wanting to question him in the disappearance and death of his ex-girlfriend, Karissa Kunco.

"There is a possibility that the young lady was abducted by him and or just with him; and obviously, now that she has been found deceased, you can draw your own conclusion," said Trooper Joseph Christy, of the Pennsylvania State Police.

Kunco, 21, was reported missing Wednesday after she didn't show up for a meeting with friends and did not answer her phone.

State police say her body was discovered Thursday in the woods at the intersection of Sabo and Washington Roads by some men doing land surveying work in the area.

Washington County Coroner Tim Warco later ruled Kunco's death a homicide and said she died from a knife wound.

Baldwin police said that the couple's relationship was volatile. Police say she had a protection from abuse order against him, but it expired last month.

Evidence of Kunco's father's credit card being used in the Washington County area on Thursday morning had police looking for her vehicle and the pair.

It wasn't until 9:30 Thursday morning that her wrecked Toyota Solara was found in Cecil Township. Two hours later, her body was discovered.

Clemons is currently being held in the Washington County Jail on $250,000 bail.
