Stabbing Incident Leaves Franklin Regional Parents Upset, Worried

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- As soon as news broke Wednesday morning of the stabbing rampage at Franklin Regional High School, parents rushed to the school to try to find their children.

It was a tough day for both.

"You got a normal day, and then the fire alarm got pulled," said Zack Shedd, a student.

From that moment on nothing was normal at Franklin Regional High School. Hallways became the scene of absolute horror.

"I was sitting by the cafeteria," said Nikki Dallo, a junior. "At first, I seen him push someone down. I thought it was just a normal fight."

Dallo watched as the attacks began.

"I seen another kid gets sliced in the face," said Dallo. "I saw the blood everywhere, and I just ran to the office."

As parents descended onto school grounds once word started to spread, many were looking for first and foremost their children, but also for answers.

"I gave them a big hug and kiss, and I cried," said one parent.

Now, they're left wondering how to begin to explain a day no one in the school district will ever forget.

"It's part of life," said Katherine Shedd, a parent. "It's upsetting, just don't think it can happen to your school."
