Spoiler Alert For "Hart of Dixie"
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two actresses are set to join the cast of Hart of Dixie this season.
According to TV Line, actress Golden Brooks of Girlfriends is joining the cast of Hart of Dixie in a recurring role for the show's second season.
Brooks will be playing the part of Ruby, Zoe's new friend and confidant after she quickly becomes good friends with Bluebell's resident doctor.
It turns out she doesn't get along with everyone though.
Some unresolved issues with Lavon and Lemon suggest there will be tension there. Part of these troubles may stem from the fact that Ruby was the mayor's high school sweetheart, putting her at odds with the southern belle.
Laura Bell Bundy is also set to join the cast and is expected to play a potential love interest.
It's unknown as to who the country singer and Broadway star will be wooing but according to HuffPost TV, there's some speculation that it may involve George Tucker (Scott Porter).
Fans of the show may remember that in the final moments of last season, George turned up at Zoe's door to finally profess his love for her. But with their will they/won't they relationship and Zoe's romp with local bad boy Wade (Wilson Bethel) there's some speculation that Bundy's character, Shelby, will be George's rebound.
Shelby will make her first appearance in the third episode of Season 2 and is currently set to stick around for at least two episodes.
Bundy is best known for her role as Amber Von Tussle on Hairspray and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde: The Musical but has also made guest appearances on How I Met Your Mother and Modern Family.
You can catch both Ruby and Shelby on Season 2 of Hart of Dixie when it returns on Tuesday, October 2 at 8/9 c only on the CW.
