Hearing For South Side Police Chase Suspect Postponed
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A hearing for the man who was arrested after hitting several pedestrians and leading police on a chase on the South Side earlier this month has been postponed.
Timothy Fullum was expected to be in court this afternoon for a preliminary hearing after being arrested on Oct. 20.
Fullum allegedly hit a pedestrian in the 1500-block East Carson Street and then turned onto 16th Street. Witnesses followed the vehicle and called police.
Officers were already on 16th Street responding to another call. The suspect noticed the officers, backed up and hit two more pedestrians.
Fullum then made a left turn onto Roland Street where he encountered another officer. The officer attempted to get out of harm's way, but fired his weapon while fearing for his life.
A passenger in the vehicle was injured by the shots fired.
Fullum continued on down the road until he encountered traffic. At that time, officers approached the vehicle and took him and his two passengers into custody.
Fullum is facing a list of charges including aggravated assault against a police officer, DUI, criminal attempted homicide against a police officer, recklessly endangering another person and possession of marijuana.
