Snow To Continue Falling Into Weekend
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The latest round of winter weather has officially moved into the Pittsburgh area.
According to KDKA-TV Meteorologist Dennis Bowman, as we roll through the second half of the day, snowfall activity will increase amid blustery and cold conditions.
Watch for slippery spots as moisture begins to freeze up on the roads.
Snow will amount to just an inch or two in southwest Pennsylvania, including Pittsburgh, but 2 to 4 inches can be expected near Interstate 80 and 3 to 6 inches in the Laurel Highlands.
Temperatures will be nearly steady in the low to mid 30s with wind chills in the 20s.
Winds will blow at 15 to 30 mph with some higher gusts.
Tonight, snow will continue with an additional inch or two by morning, locally, and several inches north and east.
Tonight's low will be around 27 degrees and as snow diminishes tomorrow afternoon, the high will be 35 degrees with continuing blustery conditions.
Conditions will Improve on Sunday with partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-30s.
