Light Snow Expected Overnight
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – A winter weather advisory has been issued for southern Pennsylvania.
The National Weather Service says areas of southern Pennsylvania, north of the Turnpike – especially Cambria County, could get as much as 3 to 5 inches of snow.
However, KDKA's Jon Burnett says locally we should see a coating of about an inch -- possibly 2 inches by noon Monday.
"We will see accumulating snowfall," Burnett said.
The advisory goes into effect at midnight and goes until 4 p.m. Monday. NWS officials say that between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. is when the heaviest snow will fall.
Drivers are urged to use caution on the roads.
Greene County could also receive 2 to 4 inches overnight.
Another round of snow is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, with another inch or 2 inches expected, according to Burnett.
