Small Community Saddened After Fire Destroys Fayette Co. Home
WHARTON TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Fire destroyed a home on National Pike in Farmington Wednesday night.
The man who once lived in the house was known for selling items out of his yard.
Many in the community, as well as those headed to Nemacolin and Ohiopyle, would see the signs for Christmas trees, pumpkins, cider, firewood and vegetables.
The man who lived there had some health problems before the holidays and never returned. He is okay, but not living at home.
The house was gutted by the flames.
Firefighters had to rotate through a warming station because of frigid temperatures.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
