Sidney Crosby To Sit Out For 2 Games

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Sidney Crosby will not play for the next two games.

The Penguins say he is sitting out as a precaution.

After taking a hard hit on Monday night against Boston, Penguins GM Ray Shero says Crosby was not feeling 100 percent. Crosby went through an impact test with Dr. Micky Collins of UPMC, who treated him while he recovered from a concussion.

"Sidney took a hard hit during our game against Boston Monday night and wasn't feeling 100 percent," Penguins General Manager Ray Shero said, according to the Penguins official website. "He saw Dr. Micky Collins of UPMC today and took an ImPACT test, which showed no problems. However, we all think it's best that he sits out the next two games as a precaution."

The test showed there were no problems.

Crosby returned to game action last month after spending 10 months recovering from a concussion.
