Sidney Crosby Takes Big Step, Joins Team For Full Practice
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Sidney Crosby joined his team at practice Monday morning, with no limits, for the first time since he was diagnosed with a concussion just before the start of the regular season.
It is a huge step in the right direction for the Pittsburgh Penguins' captain. The next would be playing in a game, but there's been no announcement yet on when that might be.
Crosby was the first one on the ice for practice today, and noticeably, he wasn't wearing the non-contact jersey.
It was the first full practice for the Pens' captain with contact. He skated with Patric Hornqvist and Scott Wilson.
Afterward, Crosby said he feels fine and isn't having any concussion-related symptoms.
"It's just good to be back on the ice with the guys. It's not easy watching, so to be out there was nice today, and, hopefully, a good step. I feel good, so it's good to have some days like that, and, hopefully, I can build from here," said Crosby. "We'll talk about it. They're always asking a lot of questions, and making sure that you're good from different standpoints. Obviously, your health, but then your timing and you feel comfortable out there with pace and fatigue and all that stuff."

Crosby has missed the first six games to start the season.
He hasn't been ruled out of Tuesday's game. So, there is a chance he could return against the Florida Panthers. However, no announcement has been made on that.
Later this week, the Penguins host the New York Islanders on Thursday.
