Woman Questioned, Charged After Shots Fired In McKeesport
MCKEESPORT (KDKA) -- A woman is facing charges following a shooting incident that sent the SWAT team to McKeesport late Tuesday night.
It all started just after 10:15 p.m. when McKeesport Police were called to Locust Street for multiple reports of gunfire.
Officers say they saw muzzle flashes and heard gunfire coming from a rear second-floor window.
Soon after, a woman came out of the front door of the home and was detained for questioning. She has been identified as 29-year-old Jasmine Mosby.
Additional law enforcement and SWAT were called in to clear the home.
Police say Mosby gave investigators permission to search the home, where they found multiple .22 caliber shell casings in an upstairs bathroom and on the back porch roof.
During questioning, police say Mosby admitted to firing a gun out of the second-floor window because she was "upset about her boyfriend going out." However, police say she also told them "she never had any intentions of hurting police officers or anyone else."
The gun was eventually found and discovered to be reported stolen out of the city of Pittsburgh.
Mosby is facing firearms violations.
