Dog Rescued From Sharpsburg House Fire
SHARPSBURG (KDKA) -- Crews battled a fire at a Sharpsburg home Tuesday evening.
It started around 7:30 p.m. on Cecil Street near 18th Street.
Black smoke could be seen pouring from the second-floor windows of the house. At one point, flames could be seen shooting out of a window.
Firefighters contained the flames to the second floor and kept them from spreading to neighboring houses.
Emergency dispatchers say no one was injured and no one was trapped inside.
Police officers rescued a dog from the home and a cat got out on its own.
