Several Western Pa. Communities Move Trick-Or-Treat Times Due To Predicted Inclement Weather
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Due to forecasted severe weather in the region on Thursday, many areas are moving times and dates for Halloween trick-or-treating.
Forecasts for the week have predicted heavy rainfall during the previously scheduled events on Halloween.
Here are some of the areas that have updated:
Allegheny County
- Avalon Borough: Saturday, Nov. 2, 6-8 p.m.
- Bellevue Borough: Saturday, Nov. 2, 6-8 p.m.
- Bethel Park Borough: Saturday, Nov. 2, 6-8 p.m.

Several places are not changing their schedule, including City of Pittsburgh, City of Butler, Mount Lebanon, West View, South Fayette Township, Ligonier Merchant and Cranberry Township.
Butler City Police Chief Bob O'Neill says plans for trick-or-treating are still on for Thursday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Kids and their parents can stop by the police station from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. to get a trick-or-treat bag, a neon flasher and a treat.
A City of Pittsburgh spokesperson said they have no plans to change trick-or-treat times either.
South Fayette Township officials say residents can pick up free ponchos at the township building on Millers Run Road ahead of trick-or-treating.
