SEVEN FIELDS (KDKA) – About 100 employees were led out of the office building at 300 Seven Fields Boulevard in Seven Fields Wednesday morning after a suspicious package arrived at the office of A.R. Building Company, Inc.
It was a box within a box, housing a small package wrapped in red tape that prompted Adams Township Police to order the building evacuation and call in the Allegheny County Police Bomb Squad.
"They went up. They viewed it. They went up a second time and X-rayed it," said Adams Township Assistant Police Chief Robert Scanlon.

According to police, the box was sent by a man who was renting from A.R. Building Company. Their office is on the building's third floor.
The hand-written note said: "Final payment (expletive)! Check enclosed."
"Apparently, he was disgruntled somewhat with the company. So that raised suspicion also," said Assistant Chief Scanlon.
As the snow was falling outside, the bomb squad went back inside a third time.
"They came out, took it apart - duct tape. It was in a mint box with a bunch of glitter and a check," said Assistant Chief Scanlon.
Police confirm that a rent check was inside, but the alarming way it was sent left police with no choice but to err on the side of caution.
A.R. Building Company had no comment.
