Seton Hill Campus Mourns Lacrosse Coach Killed In Tour Bus Crash

GREENSBURG (KDKA) -- The news of what happened aboard the tour bus carrying the Seton Hill University women's lacrosse team Saturday morning spread through the school's campus in Westmoreland County like wildfire.

Students were alerted via text messages and emails about the deadly crash.

First hearing that bus driver Anthony Guaetta had died, and shortly after that head lacrosse coach Kristina Quigley and her unborn child had passed as well.

The small campus is left shaken that accident of this magnitude could hit so close to home.

"It's just devastating because you never think it's going happen to you, and then it does," said Kelsey Greco, a Seton Hill freshman.

Mike Biddle, a freshmen athlete at the university, knows Quigley. The head women's lacrosse coach was married with a small child and was six months pregnant at the time of her death.

"That's just horrible especially for her husband and people who knew her," said Biddle. "Her kid especially, he's never going to see his mom again; so it's pretty hard."

Biddle says he text messaged his friends on the team to see if they were okay. Hours later, some have gotten back to him saying they're all right for now.

The university on Saturday sent out residential life staff asking if people were okay and to offer counseling services id students need it.

A full memorial service is planned for Sunday at 7 p.m. at the university chapel on Seton Hill's campus.
