Hard to Recycle Event at Pittsburgh Mills
The Pennsylvania Resources Council is hosting its first of several hard-to-recycle events on Saturday. It will take place from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Galleria at the Pittsburgh Mills. For $5, you can take old TVs, printers, tires, and other items.

CitiParks activate six cooling centers for June 1 and 2
The City of Pittsburgh has announced that six cooling centers will be open the next two days between 8 a.m. and 7 p.m. as temperatures will climb close to or into the 90s.
They will be in Beechview, Brighton Heights, Greenfield, Homewood, Sheraden, and South Side.

City hiring lifeguards
Summer is just around the corner but cooling off at the pool may be a challenge. Pittsburgh leaders are looking at trying to keep as many open as possible, but it's not expected to be all of them.
