Seasoned Wartime Reporter Talks Impact Of Conflicts
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Chris Moore was joined by journalist and photographer Ann Jones.
Jones is the author of eight nonfiction books including "They Were Soldiers: How the Wounded Return from America's Wars: The Untold Story." Jones' accounts remind us that freedom is not free.
Jones has reported on the impact of war in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. She has spent time in Afghanistan with American forces and has seen war's negative effects firsthand.
Jones says she wants people to give praise to soldiers, but to also "give a lot of credit to medical personnel," saying she has seen their efforts dealing with critical patients.
