School Bus Window Shattered In Woodland Hills
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- A Woodland Hills school bus had its window shattered after dropping off students in Rankin Tuesday.
Substitute Woodland Hills Superintendent Alan Johnson told KDKA that young people were outside of the bus yelling. He doesn't believe they were Woodland Hills students.
As the bus was pulling away, a rear safety glass window was broken. The bus driver drove off after the window was broken to get out of harm's way.
Johnson said that, initially, fears were the window was broken because of a gun shot. However, no shell casings were found.
Ranking police chief Ryan Wooten said the best thing was that nobody got hurt in the incident. The window may have been shattered by 12-inch tire iron found in hedges near where the incident occurred.
Allegheny County police and Rankin police are investigating.
