Sabres' Ryan Miller Out Against Penguins
BUFFALO, N.Y. (KDKA/AP) — The Buffalo Sabres will be without starting goalie Ryan Miller and center Tim Connolly for their home game against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Wednesday.
Coach Lindy Ruff said Miller is close to returning from from a groin injury after practicing for a second straight day. This is the second game in a row that Miller has missed.
Miller had only returned to the lineup a week earlier after missing six games with a hip injury.
The Sabres are expected to recall goalie Jhonas Enroth from their AHL affiliate in Portland.
Connolly's status is uncertain after he was hurt during practice Monday. Ruff said it could take three or four days to determine a timetable for his return.
