Ryan Clark Says Defenses Must Prepare For "Wildcat" Packages
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Live from Nakama on Carson, the Ryan Clark Show features honest and interesting talk from the Steelers' safety.
Clark is a little down about LSU losing at Ole Miss this week, but he prefers to focus on the Steelers' big win against the Ravens.
Safety Troy Polamalu looked more like a linebacker with the kind of role he had to play around the line last week.
On receiver Emmanuel Sanders' long kickoff return that was ultimately ruled out of bounds, Clark says, "It may be the best regular season play I have ever seen in person."
As a defense, the Steelers practice a little against a Wildcat package every week, but when a team is not ready for it, it can have great results.
Running back Le'Veon Bell is a patient runner and guy so he is perfect to run those special plays.
When told by The Fan's Andrew Fillipponi that Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrell Pryor has a higher QB rating than the Patriots Tom Brady so far this year, Clark wonders about what secret formula is relied on for that rating.
Pryor has played well this year and Clark attributes it mostly to the local native not being afraid to use his legs.
Clark calls Raiders defensive back Charles Woodson his "favorite college football player ever." Clark still thinks he is a playmaker and would have loved to have had him join this team.
