Ryan Clark On Joe Flacco: "He Talks Too Much"
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) - Broadcasting from Nakama on Carson for another installment of The Ryan Clark Show, the Steelers' safety has plenty to say about the Thanksgiving Day showdown with the Ravens in Baltimore.
Earlier today, Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco talked to the media and compared running the Wildcat offense for 10 plays against the Jets last week to running a high school offense.
Clark believes that "it is really disrespectful" for a player to speak that way about the decisions of his coaches in the media even if those might be his honest feelings.
Clark wonders if Flacco was "man enough" to tell his coaches about his low opinion of their strategy before he aired the dirty laundry and created a sound bite.
According to Clark, players who act like adults will not use the media to address concerns with coaches when they could just as easily iron things out behind closed doors.
Clark continues, "Even when they talk about it, they don't talk about it in a way that demeans... the people making the decisions."
Clark would choose Ben Roethlisberger over Flacco 10 times out of 10, and even if Roethlisberger had a problem with the Steelers using some Wildcat plays during the win over the Ravens a few weeks ago, he realized that for that day at that time, it was effective.
"When you're a part of a team, even if you make $120 million, you are not bigger than the decisions that the coaches make," Clark maintains.
