Rushell Shell Is Now A Bruin
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) -- Former Pitt running back Rushel Shell will continue his college football career at UCLA.
Shell, who earlier this month received his release from Pitt, tweeted this evening, "Bruins!!!!!!" He later tweeted, "UCLA."
Shell visited UCLA's spring practice on Saturday, telling the Los Angeles Times, "I love it here in Los Angeles."
Shell rushed for 641 yards and 4 touchdowns as a freshman and was expected to be the Panthers starting running back in the fall.
Reportedly, Pitt had denied his request to consider transferring to Arizona and Arizona State.
Former Pitt coach Todd Graham is the coach at Arizona State, while former West Virginia coach Rich Rodriguez coaches Arizona.
He will sit out the 2013 season and will have three years of eligibility remaining.
