Running Back Chris James Reportedly Leaving Pitt
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- For the third time in the last three days, a football player from Pitt has decided to transfer.
KDKA-TV Sports has learned that sophomore running back Chris James has informed the coaches of his desire to transfer. There was speculation weeks ago that James planned on transferring, and Saturday, it became official.
Early speculation is that James wants to play closer to his home in Chicago and could join former Pitt coach Paul Chryst at the University of Wisconsin.
James came to Pitt as a four-star recruit, but as the season went on, he was falling down on the Pitt depth chart.
Earlier in the week, linebacker Jamal Davis and cornerback Pat Amara also announced that they were leaving Pitt.
