Rt. 8 Crash Leaves 1 Dead
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- Police were on the scene of a fatal accident near Richland Township.
It happened around 3 p.m. Sunday on Route 8, near Bakerstown Road.
Reportedly, a motorcycle collided with a vehicle and the motorcyclist was found underneath the car unconscious and not breathing.
The victim, 68-year-old Pamela McCarthy of Valencia, was driving a three-wheeled motorcycle. Authorities say she was wearing a helmet.
McCarthy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Part of Route 8 was blocked off as police investigated.
No word on what caused the crash or if any charges are pending.
An autopsy is set for Monday.
