Route 168 Crash Kills Hookstown Man
HANOVER TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- State police are investigating a fatal accident in Beaver County early this morning.
It happened shortly before 4 a.m. on Route 168 in Hanover Township.
Police say John Zakutney, 22, of Hookstown died after he lost control of his car and struck a tree.
According to investigators, Zakutney was heading south on Route 168 when he veered off the roadway. When his Toyota Scion swerved back onto the road, it crossed both lanes before hitting a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The accident closed Route 168 for several hours; but officials have since re-opened the road to traffic.
