Ross Twp. Police Investigate Possible Attempted Child Abduction
ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) -- Police in Ross Township are investigating a report of an attempted child abduction at a Goodwill store on McKnight Road.
Police say the incident happened just after 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the store located in the Ross Towne Center shopping plaza.
According to investigators, a man is accused of grabbing a 7-year-old child by the coat and said, "Let's go."
Authorities say the child was able to run away. He reported the incident to his mother, but he man got away before police could get to the store.
Police describe the suspect as a white male with a heavy build and goatee who was in his mid- to late-30s. He was wearing a red tossle cap with a black stripe and a red coat with black stripes.
The investigation continues.
