Ross Township Police Hold Crime Watch Meeting
ROSS TOWNSHIP (KDKA) – Ross Township police are holding a Crime Watch meeting tonight for community residents, despite the recent arrest of accused rapist Arthur Henderson.
Although the residents of Ross Township are breathing a sigh of relief that Henderson is off the streets, they are still expecting an exchange of information at tonight's meeting to keep them more aware of what is happening within their community.
People have had to change their daily routines ever since the attacks.
"I always lock all my doors, and always keep an eye on the kids as I'm getting into the car and just being aware of your surroundings, I always do that. But I didn't always lock a window in my home, and I have made sure every night and every time that window is locked," says Kelly Phillips, a resident of Ross Township.
"We've been locking our home, every time we leave or come in and out which we usually don't do - emphatically, we've been doing that. I've been locking my car and trying to make sure I have lights on when I go outside," says Patty O'Halloran, a North Hills resident.
Henderson, 38, the prime suspect, was arrested early Thursday morning, with a DNA match to the two sexual assaults in this northern community.
