Rorabaugh On Pens: No Shot At Cup Without Letang
PITTSBURGH (93-7The Fan) - The Post-Gazette's "Empty Netters" blogger, Seth Rorabaugh joined the Fan Morning Show on Tuesday to talk about the Penguins' stretch-run.
Though out-shot on Monday night against the Phoenix Coyotes, the Pens were able to hold on for a 2-1 win. It was a game that was controlled by the Coyotes, but as Seth said, "Marc-Andre Fleury really kind of stole two points for them."
Kris Letang's recent concussion is a cause for concern for Penguins fans. Though described as "mild," we have heard that before, and we shouldn't expect him to be healthy soon.
The power play is 0-for-9 since Letang's concussion. Though it has created good scoring chances, the Penguins are not scoring the way they do with Letang on the blue line.
That creates problems for the Penguins, and Seth believes that they, "don't have any shot" at winning the Stanley Cup with Letang out of the lineup.
