Roofer Hit, Killed By Falling Scaffolding In East Liberty
EAST LIBERTY (KDKA) – Authorities are investigating after a roofer was crushed by falling scaffolding in East Liberty Tuesday morning.
According to our news partners at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Greg Linver, 57, of Sharpsburg, was killed in the 5400-block of Black Street.
Linver and others were replacing a roof on a home when a piece of the scaffolding tipped and crushed him.
He was taken to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 9 a.m.
Pittsburgh Police and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration are investigating the accident.
