Roethlisberger Talks Workouts With Offense

CRANBERRY (KDKA)--The NFL lockout doesn't allow players to work with their coaches, but that isn't keeping Ben Roethlisberger from coaching.

Today was the second day for the Steelers quarterback annual football camp for hundreds of children.

"Oh it's fun because we're teaching these kids," Roethlisberger said. "Over there on one field they are learning quarterback drills. They're learning combine drills. More than anything, they're just having fun, and that's what this is all about."

Despite the work stoppage in the NFL, Roethlisberger did manage to get some of his teammates together for their own little camp from time to time in the last couple of months.

"I work out every day," the two-time Super Bowl quarterback said. "We got together as an offense quite a few times and went over offensive plays. We did some no huddle stuff. We just got in the huddle. We did some fun things together. Pretty much everybody was there. It was good. We got some good, quality work in."

Ben's dad and fiancé, Ashley Harlan, were also at the camp, along with defensive end Brett Keisel, who is starting yet another Fear the Beard campaign.

"This has been a product of after the beard event. I haven't really maintained it too well" Keisel said. "It's getting hot though. You can see I'm sweating like crazy. So I might have to take it down a couple notches."
