Roethlisberger: Steelers Need To Play Their Best Down The Stretch
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – The Pittsburgh Steelers were on a bye this week, but are eager to get back at it Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.
Today, Ben Roethlisberger spoke about why the bye week came at the right time on the "#1 Cochran Ben Roethlisberger Show" on Sportsradio 93.7 The Fan.
Roethlisberger said the team bye week allowed the team to get healthy. Now, they need to all dig in their heels and get ready to play their best football in the final five remaining regular season games.
Roethlisberger said that the focus has to be on wining every game and going 5-0 down the final stretch.
Right now, the Steelers have their fate in their own hands and they don't want to have to rely on help from other teams like last year. Roethlisberger said it was no fun to have to root for other teams to get you into the playoffs.
Big Ben also talked about what challenges the Saints pose and how the AFC North is as about as tight as it gets.
