Roethlisberger Selected For Miami (OH) Hall Of Fame
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) -- Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will be inducted into the Miami University Athletics Hall of Fame for its 2012-13 class.
Roethlisberger played college football at Miami (OH), starting for three seasons. He totaled well over 10,000 passing yards and threw for 80 touchdowns to just 23 interceptions while completing 65 percent of his passes.
He owns NCAA records for consecutive games with at least 200 passing yards and most games in a season with over 200 passing yards. He as named MAC freshman of the year in 2001 and was named MAC male co-athlete of the year in 2000-01 and 2003-04.
The Pittsburgh Steelers selected Roethlisberger in the first round of the 2004 NFL Draft with the 11th overall selection.
Since then, he has led the Steelers to three Super Bowls, winning two (XL and XLIII).
