Roethlisberger Plans To Play Sunday
PITTSBURGH (KDKA/AP) — Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger re-injured his foot in Sunday's overtime win in Buffalo; but thanks in part to a special boot, he is expected to play when his team takes on the Ravens this weekend.
The Steelers training staff fitted Roethlisberger with a reinforced shoe to help stabilize his foot and allow enough movement for him to play in Sunday's division match-up against Baltimore.
Despite his sprained right foot, Roethlisberger missed only a few snaps in practice on Wednesday.
Roethlisberger has missed two of the Steelers' last three games against the Ravens.
Last season Roethlisberger missed the Steelers vs. Ravens game with a concussion and he sat out the Ravens' 17-14 win in Pittsburgh on Oct. 3 while completing his four-game suspension.
