Roethlisberger Picked AFC Offensive POW
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) — Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his 365-yard, two-touchdown performance in a 25-17 win against New England last Sunday.
It's the second time Roethlisberger received this award in the month of October and the eighth time in his career.
Roethlisberger set career highs last Sunday with 23 completions and 32 pass attempts in the first half. Roethlisberger has now thrown for at least 200 yards in career-best 16 straight regular-season games.
His 365 yards passing gave him his 18th career 300-yard passing game. All told, Roethlisberger completed 36 of 50 passes — both the second most of his career.
