Roads Reopen After Reports Of Suspicious Package On West Liberty Ave.
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The bomb squad was called to the Brookline area this morning over reports of a suspicious package.
It happened at the bus stop near the McDonald's on West Liberty Avenue around 8 a.m.
There were reports that police had blocked off several locations including areas of Potomac Avenue, Brookline Boulevard and West Liberty Avenue while crews were on the scene investigate.
It caused some traffic backups during the morning rush hour.
According to officials at the scene, the bomb squad x-rayed the cooler and then opened it, finding just a stick of men's deodorant inside.
The parts of the area that were shut down have since been reopened.
