RMU Head Coach: "The Greatest Win In Our School's History"
PITTSBURGH (93-7 The FAN) - After their win over Kentucky in the first round of the NIT Tournament, there was little guess work as to whether or not that was the greatest victory in program history.
Head Coach Andy Toole reiterated that thought with Starkey, Miller and Mueller when he joined the guys this afternoon to breakdown their big win and the game winning play he drew up during a timeout.
"It was a special situation play that we kind of have in our back pocket for late game situations, we actually never used it in a game," he said. "We've only done it in practice on a handful of occasions and probably our most successful play in practice. The timing of it was right, the situation was right and we executed it well."
Toole revealed to us that he still hadn't slept since the game last night, but takes us through what the experience has been like and one of the more memorable moments for him.
Things wrapped up with Toole telling us how he plans on getting his team ready for the rest of the NIT Tournament.
