Ridge Remembers Senator Arlen Specter
PITTSBURGH (KDKA NewsRadio 1020) --- Former Senator Arlen Specter has died at the age of 82.
Specter was Pennsylvania's longest running U.S senator, and was part of many memorable events, including being a member of the Warren Commission, famously switching parties in his later years as Senator, and even tried to run for President in 1995. He is remembered for being resilient, accountable, independent, and stuck to his convictions, and fought the bipartisan gridlock that has plagued politics in the last decade.
KDKA AM's Larry and John remember Senator Specter with former PA Governor and Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge, who worked closely with the Senator for over 30 years.
