Reward Offered For Information In Death Of PNC Park Usher
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) -- The wait for answers in the suspicious death of a PNC Park usher has been frustrating for family and co-workers.
The Pittsburgh Stadium Independent Employees Union is joining forces with Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers, adding $5,000 in reward money for information leading to an arrest in the case.
Michael Schacht, 58, was found lying in the street at the intersection of Brighton Road and Brighton Place early Saturday morning.
"He wasn't shot, wasn't stabbed, no serious signs of trauma. They did conduct and autopsy and the medical examiner has not released the cause and manner of death until we conduct our police investigation," Lt. Kevin Kraus told KDKA's Kym Gable.
Schacht had just left his job at PNC Park and was driving home. His vehicle was found 24 hours later in an alley.
"When nobody was arrested for whatever happened to Mike, we decided to get together and put up a reward hoping it would bring somebody forward," Joe O'Toole, head of the union, said.
The Pittsburgh Crime Stoppers number is 412-255-8477.
