Reward Offered After String Of Thefts From Vehicles
UNIONTOWN (KDKA) – State police in Uniontown are offering a reward in the hopes of catching a man believed to be involved in several incidents of items being stolen from vehicles.
On Wednesday, police released photos of the suspect.
The suspect has also allegedly been involved in access device fraud incidents in multiple locations throughout the county.
"He's a low life. All he does is do drugs and try to con other people. That's all he does," said a man who doesn't want to be identified but thinks he knows the suspect.
The suspect was last seen at the Sheetz in Connellsville using a stolen credit card. He drove away in a dark-colored SUV.
He's also been breaking into cars, police said.
The man who thinks he knows the thief is reluctant to turn him in.
"I don't know," he said. "I mean, it's a big deal stealing someone's credit card and robbing people, but I might."
The picture above was taken at the Sheetz location in Connellsville.
Anyone with information about the suspect in the photo is asked to contact Fayette County Crime Stoppers at 1-888-404-TIPS or by e-mail at crimestoppersfayette@gmail.com.
Information leading to an arrest could result in an award of up to $1,000.
