BRGR Bar has delved into a rather new social media venture that not many Pittsburgh residents may be aware of. Devotee, a mobile application developed by recent grads of Duquesne University, rewards customers who recommend certain restaurants to friends through social media sites like Twitter, Foursquare and Facebook. Each time you do this, you earn points (currency) which is redeemable for discounts, prizes and more. BRGR Bar has jumped onboard and has given rewards such as a free milkshake, t-shirts and hats, ½ off any BRGR side and discounts on various alcoholic beverages. Other restaurants have slowly joined forces with Devotee (like Franktuary, Peace, Love & Little Donuts, Las Velas). To download this iPhone application, visit this link. They are also working on an Android application, which could be out soon.
