Residents Evacuated After Ohio Train Derailment, Fire
COLUMBUS, Ohio (KDKA) - People living close to a freight train derailment in Columbus, Ohio were evacuated Wednesday morning.
The train carrying agricultural products burst into flames, causing an explosion and injuring at least two people.
Fire officials were not sure what materials were burning.
Authorities evacuated a mile-wide while they tried to contain the blaze.
Norfolk Southern said it appears about 11 cars of a southbound train derailed around 2 a.m., near Interstate 71, southeast of the Ohio State University campus.
It wasn't immediately clear what caused the crash or how many cars caught on fire.
